On Friday, December 14th, David Smith stepped into an elevator at the "Barnesville Motel".
He sent the elevator to the second floor, but instead of going up, it went down. David Smith weighed so much, the elevator, which was made to bear the weight of 500 pounds, could not lift him. It fell to the bottom of the elevator shaft with a loud crash.
David Smith is being sued for the cost of the damage.
